A group of elderly women in Tana River County has benefited with Sh200,000 from the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF).
Kinyadu Women Group received the fund to complete their housing project in Mnazini location Garsen North constituency.
The group aspire to supplement the housing pillar under the government’s big four agenda and target teachers and other civil servants who will be posted or transferred to their location.
Thanking the government for the financial support, the group chairlady Mwanahamisi Omar said the house will have 16 rooms adding the income from the investment would be spent to meet members’ individual domestic expenses.
Tana River County NGAAF Coordinator Komora Benedicto urged the group to use the money prudently saying they will follow up to ensure the project is completed.
