Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has told off Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka over his threats to press charges of incitement and defamation against Deputy President William Ruto.
Duale, who is the immediate former national assembly majority leader asked Kalonzo to concentrate on his presidential bid and stop sideshows.
Speaking at his residence Monday, when he donated assortment of household goods including utensils, sitting mats, chairs, cooking jikos, huge umbrella shades and startup cash to women at Soko Ng’ombe open air market whose stalls were recently destroyed by fire, Duale said Kalonzo should stop maligning Ruto’s name.
Duale, a staunch supporter of Ruto accused Kalonzo of being ‘a hypocrite and one who doesn’t see the speck in his eye’.
“How on earth does Kalonzo wake up and start accusing Ruto for being tribal. To the best of my knowledge, he together with ODM Raila are the biggest tribalists. Is he forgetting that he gave the EALA slot to his son while Raila rewarded his brother?” posed Duale.
“I am offering free advice to Kalonzo and the entire opposition team that they better start preparing for next year’s general election by selling their agenda rather than focusing all their energies on attacking Ruto. For us we are sure of ourselves because we believe we have the peoples backing,” he added.
Ruto and Kalonzo have in the past two weeks gone for each other throat with the latter accusing the former of being the biggest land grabber.
It all started when the former Vice President launched a scathing attack on Ruto accusing him of dishing his entire 2013 cabinet slots to his Kalenjin community.
“Who doesn’t know that President Uhuru Kenyatta got 50 per cent of the government, William Ruto got 50 per cent of the government to the exclusion of everybody else? At least President Uhuru took his 50 per cent as a national leader,” Kalonzo said.
Ruto fired back by accusing Kalonzo of grabbing the Yatta parcel that he claimed the Wiper boss obtained irregularly using his influence as then vice president.
However, Kalonzo then went ahead to list pieces of land, which the DP either controversially acquired or attempted to grab. The DP has since denied being involved in any wrongdoing.
