Kiambu County is expected to experience sunny and dry conditions over most parts through the next few days.
Speaking to KNA, the Kiambu County Director of Meteorological Services, Magdalene Gateri, said that in the first half of the forecast period it is likely to be generally sunny and dry, while the nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
Gateri added that during the second half of the forecast period intermittent cloudiness at times accompanied by light rains is expected in the mornings giving way to sunny intervals, while the afternoons and nights showers are likely to occur over a few places.
“In places like Limuru which is one of the high ground areas sunny intervals are expected in the mornings and afternoons on Tuesday through to Friday and in the afternoon of Saturday and Sunday light showers are expected to occur,” she said.
Gateri also noted that rainfall onset is expected at the beginning of November over a few places and spread over most places.
However, she had in an earlier bulletins stressed that low levels of rainfall will be experienced through November to December with some places like Kikuyu experiencing a minimum of less than 230mm of rain.
Gateri however encouraged farmers to prepare their farms as they await seasonal rains expected to start next month and residents also be ready to harvest water anytime they receive rains.
