There was drama at Kisii Pentecostal Assemblies of God (P.A.G.) Church after the Sunday morning worship service was disrupted by a faction of faithful opposed to the leadership of the current presiding pastor.
The unruly group barricaded the church entrance to prevent Sunday Service activities taking place yesterday, as they accused the church Senior Pastor, Lawrence Morara of outstaying his term.
They accused the Pastor of having swindled over Sh.8 million and demanded for accountability of the missing funds.
Further, they said that funds collected from fundraisers remain unaccounted for and expenditure records were never properly kept.
Police officers had to move in to calm the situation and allow a handful of worshippers proceed with normal worship activities.
Efforts by journalists to get a comment from the church managers were futile, as they remained mum.
