Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa said Friday that the stand-off between Kenya’s two houses of Parliament over the Division of Revenue Bill would only be cured by the Constitution.
He said the impasse between the Senate and the National Assembly would not lead to a constitutional crisis as suggested by some analysts, although he admitted some constitutional issues would need to be addressed to bring harmony.
Mr. Wamalwa said this at a Malindi hotel while closing a two-day conference between a delegation of the European Union and the Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani (JKP) on Blue Economy.
Also present during the closing ceremony was the Chief Administrative Secretary in his Ministry, Mr. Hussein Dado, Tana River Governor Dhadho Godhana and Head of EU Cooperation, Mr. Hebert Perr among others.
