An elderly woman living with disability who broke her arm while trying to avoid being hit by a vehicle is pleading for medical assistance.
Teresa Adipo Ombago, a resident of Koyeyo sub location in Central Alego ward in Siaya says her world crumbled in January this year when she landed in a ditch while riding a tricycle.
Narrating her ordeal to Kenya News Agency in Siaya town, Adipo said that the accident left her with multiple fractures on her left arm, rendering her unable to ride the wheel chair.
“I am a tailor and dressmaker and was also doing a small scale business but since the accident that restricted my movements, I can no longer fend for myself,” she lamented.
She said that she requires advanced surgery at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret to correct the plates inserted in her left hand.
Adipo said that she had no children and was currently relying on his brothers who equally had no permanent sources of income.
She thus appealed to well-wishers to help her fund the corrective surgery and acquire a motorized wheel chair to enable her regain mobility and fend for herself.
