CS Wamalwa to institute committee to resolve budgetary stalemate

Devolution CS Eugen Wamalwa holds talks with Taita/Taveta County MCAs on Tuesday July 9, 2019 over the misunderstanding between the County Assembly and the County Executive over the budget. The CS noted that it is the public which suffers when the two institutions fail to agree. The CS promised to put a committee in place involving members from the Senate Committee on Devolution, Salaries and Remuneration Commission, Controller of Budget, Inter-Governmental Relations Committee and the Ministry of Devolution and ASAL to spearhead mediation in resolving outstanding issues.
