ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs CS Joe Mucheru delivers the keynote address on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Movenpick Hotel, Westlands as he officiates the opening of a 5-day High-Level Ministerial Conference on the Role of Governments, Regional Economic Communities (REGs) and Regional Mechanisms (RMs) in Promoting the Youth, Peace and Security agenda in East and Horn of Africa Regions.
The objective of the conference is to promote the youth peace and security agenda through advocacy for more inclusive policies and meaningful engagement of young people in peace-building and conflict prevention mechanisms.
The conference is jointly organized by the African Union working with COMESA, the Government of Kenya, civil society organizations namely Save the Children, Life and Peace Institute and the Horn of Africa Youth Network.
