Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management Moses Kuria addresses partners on his vision for the ministry. He said that under his watch, public service must be accountable to the public, noting that going forward he will be taking different ministries to the public where they will field questions from the people. He observed that it is not right for ministries to rate themselves as is the case; “My ministry will report to the nation every month what the public thinks about our services”, he added.
The CS was disappointed that ministries and government agencies had concentrated on what the Head of State wanted to implement to the detriment of other priorities touching on the public. “We will ensure things are done right, whether they are on the priority list of our bosses or not”, promised the CS.
To bring services closer to the people, the CS pledged to increase Huduma centers from the current 52 to at least 1000 nationally during his tenure.
