A gang of five men raided Goseta secondary school Saturday night, stole assorted items of unknown value and injured two night guards.
Police said the gang gained entry through a back gate and broke into the principal’s office, school canteen and store from where they stole school property.
Trans Nzoia county police Commander Ayubu Ali Gitonga confirmed the incident and said that the two night guards sustained deep cuts in the fore-head while one escaped unhurt.
He said that the injured night guards were rushed to Kitale referral hospital where they are receiving treatment but are in stable condition.
The police commander said that no arrests have been made but police have since commenced investigations into the incident.
Meanwhile police at Matisi estate in Kitale yesterday arrested a suspect in connection with the recent robbery with violence incidents at Folkland slums in Kitale town.
Police said that Kevin Wafula is also wanted for erecting illegal barriers along Folkland and Namanjalala road.
He will be arraigned in court today.
