The County Government of Busia through the Department of Sports, Culture, Youth and Social Services will undertake recruitment of coaches of various disciplines with a view to train county teams in preparation for the Kenya Inter Counties Sports and Cultural Association (KICISCA) slated for August this year.
The Acting Director of Culture, Grace Apadet asked qualified coaches from the seven Sub counties to submit their applications for relevant posts to the County offices on or before June 30.
“Those who will submit their documents will be vetted,” she said, giving assurance that the exercise will be free and fair.
KICOSCA will be held in Meru County from August 20th to 27th and successful coaches are expected to strive to ensure that Busia wins in all the disciplines.
According to the Ag. Director, football and choir will recruit two coaches each, while volleyball men and women, tug of war men and women, ajua, cultural dance and athletics will get one coach each. Chess will make a debut at the games with one coach to handle the team.
