Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa has announced plans by the devolved unit to boost businesses through grants.
Speaking in Khwisero, the governor encouraged the vulnerable to form groups and benefit from the kitty.
He said each group will be getting Sh50,000 as a move to foster entrepreneurship among residents in the county.
At the same time, Governor Barasa said the county government will also construct modern bodaboda sheds in every ward to improve the working conditions for bodaboda operators.
