Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has urged county government staff to ensure quality service delivery and strive for excellence in their line of duty.
Speaking at the county headquarters after receiving trophies awarded to two county staff for exemplary performance during a national gala at Sarova Woodlands Hotel in Nakuru last weekend, Natembeya challenged all the county staff to prioritize quality and effective service delivery in their daily endeavors.
County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development Janerose Mutama and Chief Officer for Agriculture Sammy Sichangi were recognized for outstanding service delivery which saw them emerge as the best in their respective categories.
The Governor showered the officers with praises urging other county staff to emulate their example saying that plans are in pipeline to set a pact which will ensure dedicated county staff are rewarded accordingly.
This he said will motivate the county staff to perform even better and ensure that the public gets the best services.
“These awards are significant as they will go a long way not only to inspire and motivate the two recipients, but also other county staff,” he said.
The CECM and the Chief Officer dedicated the rewards to Governor Natembeya thanking him for the trust he invested in them and gave them a chance to serve in his administration.
“I want to dedicate this trophy to our Governor for believing and trusting me to serve the people of Trans Nzoia. Moving forward, I can only promise the best,” said Mutama.
