Bungoma police residential units ready for occupation

Bungoma County Commissioner Mr Samuel Kimiti led the Presidential Service Delivery Unit team on a final inspection exercise of the completed Sh83 million police residential units at the County Police headquarters in readiness for occupation.

Speaking to KNA, Kimiti said the police are key people in the development of any country therefore such projects will motivate them to work efficiently and effectively.

According to Kimiti, the building is complete and ready for occupation by Monday next week since all the necessary appliances have been installed with only a few final touches left.

The storey building which has a capacity to hold 50 households will enable the police that were living outside the camp to move back to the camp.

“This building has 50 self-contained rooms which mean we shall be able to host fifty police officers with their families here,” said Kimiti.

According to the Kimiti, police officers who have families stand the highest chance of being offered accommodation in the building as well as those who have been disabled while serving the county.

Kimiti lauded security teams in the county for their tireless efforts in ensuring that Bungoma County remains peaceful.
