Makueni Members of County Assembly (MCAs) approved the nominee for the position of Secretary to the County Public Service Board.
The nominee Redempta Kavindu was approved after the MCAs were satisfied that she had the right academic qualifications and experience to take up the position of secretary.
Her name was tabled by the County Assembly Majority Leader Kyalo Mumo, in the report of the Appointment Committee. The committee had vetted her on March 8 this year.
The nominee has a PhD in Project Planning and Management and is a Certified Public Secretary Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB).
“The nominee is actually over-qualified in her education, she articulated issues well and has the capability to take the position,” said Mumo.
Further, the report said that the nominee had practical knowledge and skills in management administration. The nominee will serve in the position for the next six years starting September 2022.
The speaker Douglas Mbilu who chaired the proceedings of the day, is also the chairman of the Appointment Committee.
