County Assembly Approves Motion to Remove two CECs

Kajiado county assembly has approved the motions to remove the County Executive Committee Member for Education, Vocational Training, Youth, and Sports Mr. Jeremiah Ole Ncharo and his counterpart for Public Service Administration, Social Services, Citizen Participation and Inspectorate Services, Mr. Alais Kisota from office.

This follows the adoption of two motions that outlined issues of gross misconduct, maladministration, abuse of office and incompetence against the two, moved by Mosiro MCA Jonathan Koroine and Ngong MCA Joshua Mbiriri against the two CECMs.

Speaking at the chambers after the adoption of the two motions, Kajiado County Assembly Speaker Justus Ngossor directed that a special committee comprising of five members be constituted and look into the allegations.

“Once the committee has been constituted and approved by the Assembly, it has ten days to consider the matter and report back to the County Assembly,” said Ngossor

The Committee is expected to accord the two County Executive Committee Members an opportunity to be heard, defend themselves and thereafter determine whether the allegations are substantiated or unsubstantiated.

Some 23 MCAs voted for the motion against 16 who opposed it. One MCA abstained while one was absent.
