County appeal for help to support overwhelming number of patients

County Government of Embu is appealing for assistance to support the overwhelming influx of patients into Embu health facilities from Kirinyaga County where doctors are on strike.
Dr. Joan Mwende, CEC in charge of Health said the county’s reservoir of drugs is rapidly diminishing as more patients from neighbouring Kirinyaga County seek treatment in Embu.
Dr. Mwende who was speaking at Siakago Level four Hospital in Mbeere North said the county hospitals are open to all patients including those from other counties however appealed to patients who are coming to the county to not only to go Embu level five hospital but visit other county health facilities as well.
Mrs. Trinta Muriuki, Safaricom Foundation Project Champion, said Safaricom Foundation is out to transform lives through availing help to needy cases.
