Residents of East Yimbo location in Bondo Sub-county have decried the reemergence of stock theft cases in that region.
Led by Jared Okite of Bar Kanyango Sub-location, the residents lamented that the trend where goats are being stolen from the grazing field has reemerged in the area.
He told KNA that they have noticed that there is a group of thieves who steal the goats and stuff them inside a Toyota Probox vehicle and drive to an unknown destination, citing a recent case where several goats were stolen at Muguna village on Friday last week.
Okite stated that in a span of less than one week they have lost more than 20 goats in the villages of Muguna, Ang’wenyo, Kasau and Bar Kanyango and the trends have still continued.
He lamented that they have made numerous reports to the local administration but nothing has been done yet.
They have therefore pleaded with law enforcement agencies in the area to come to their rescue because right now they live in a lot of fear for their domestic animals.
Their cry has come barely one month after some two suspected goat thieves were lynched by an irate mob after they were caught while stealing a goat in the grazing field at Kothacha area in South Sakwa location which is also within Bondo Sub-county.
