New Kilifi County commissioner Kutswa Olaka has pledged to work closely with the county executive in matters development for the benefit of members of the public.
He said there would be no meaningful development if the two levels of government worked separately and promised to bring together departmental officials in handling challenges facing the public.
Kutswa, who took over from outgoing commissioner Magu Mutindika yesterday, also vowed to steer forward the national government agenda which requires cooperation with county heads of departments.
Mutindika who is now regional commissioner, Nyanza said matters of land, murder of the elderly persons, early marriages and teenage pregnancies are among many other challenges being witnessed in the county and that there was need for closer collaboration with the county government.
