Children Service Month launched at the Kapenguria Law Courts

Residents in West Pokot County with cases involving violation of children’s rights have been asked to ensure that they avail the required evidence within this month so that the courts can speed up their finalizations.

Speaking while flagging off an awareness walk within Kapenguria Town, Kapenguria High Court Judge Antony Murima said the law courts will use the children’s service month to clear the backlog of cases involving children.

Justice Murima asked all stakeholders involved in children’s matters to assist the court in administering justice to children whose rights have been violated.

He asked investigating officers on the children’s cases to ensure they document all evidence required so that children get justice within this month.

“The courts will dedicate this month to hear and determine children’s matters. We call upon those with evidence to ensure it is produced expeditiously as a way of making the hearings smooth,” stated the judge.
