There has been a turn of events in Homa Bay town as a group of youth supporting the Azimio la Umoja’s protests started demonstrating by burning tyres on the roads within the town.
The environment was calm an hour ago until the rowdy youth blocked the road leading to ‘Shauri Yako’ estate with stones before burning tyres on the road.
The GSU lobbed tear gas canisters on the rowdy youths’ in an effort to disperse them, leading to running battles.
The confrontations are still ongoing on with tear gears rendering the air.
