Celebrations at Tenri School in Embu after posting good results in KCPE

There was jubilation at Tenri Primary School in Embu as teachers and parents celebrated the school’s good performance in the KCPE results released Thursday that saw Christine Wanjiku Mwaniki top with 405 Marks.

The top mark was however lower than last year’s with the top candidate scoring 413 marks, but the school said it was satisfied with the outcome as there was a general drop nationwide.

The School Director James Kariuki said they had 51 candidates who sat for the exams, 27 boys and 24 girls, as the curtains came down on the KCPE.

He however said the lowest moment for the exams has been the delay in remittance and access of results occasioning anxiety of over three hours since Education CS Ezekiel Machogu announced the results.

“We would have expected this being the last KCPE that things would have gone smoothly. I think that delay has been the lowest moment of this year’s exams,” he said.

Other schools that recorded good results were Bonanza School with Abraham Baraza Wekesa top with 402 marks whereas Lions School, Grace Njoki Mungai emerged top with 394.

Headteacher at Bonanza Martin Waweru said he was happy with the results, adding that they expected good results from Baraza as he has been performing well throughout his education journey at the school.
