Car and General Premiers the TVS HLX 125 Motorcycle with 5 gears in Kenya

The distributor of TVS motorcycles in Kenya, Car and General Trading Limited, has unveiled a new model of the popular brand to the Kenyan market.

The new model TVS HLX 125 has best-in-class endurance, requires little maintenance, provides excellent mileage, and performs on all terrains, according to a press statement sent to newsrooms.

David Chesoni, Managing Director (MD) Car and General, and Rahul Nayak, the Vice President, International Business of TVs Motor Company of India, unveiled the new model bike in Nairobi.

While sharing his thoughts on the new model bike, Chesoni said, “As leaders in two-wheeler mobility in Kenya, we are delighted to introduce the TVs HLX 125 5 G, which has everything riders expect from a motorcycle.”.

He described as strong and durable 125 cc engine of the bike, saying it ensures low maintenance and high savings due to consistent fuel efficiency, whereas the 5-gear transmission provides more power and speed.

Further, Chesoni cited the dust bellows, which enhance durability and reduce maintenance by protecting against dust, and its flexible turn signal lamp means no breakage, hence low maintenance costs.

For stability, the MD disclosed that the HLX 125 5G comes with an 18-inch alloy wheel, a longer wheelbase, and duragrip tires.

Chesoni implored that motorcycles have transformed lives by creating employment opportunities and providing dependable yet affordable last-mile connectivity for commercial taxis and delivery segments in rural and urban populations.

In a quick rejoinder, Rahul Nayuk highlighted the dependability of TVS HLX bikes, which have been a strong performer consistently catering to last-mile connectivity for people and goods across Africa.

Nayuk announced that TVS, which has reinstated the customers’ trust and confidence, has achieved a 10-year milestone in Africa and sold more than 3.5 million vehicles globally.

“TVS HLX 125 will elevate the riding experience of our valued customers and set a benchmark in performance, safety, and reliability, making it the first preference,” he asserted.

The bike comes with a headlamp visor, new graphics, electric start, gear indicator, fuel indicator, USB port, and a strong shock absorber to enhance convenience.

The launch brought together car and general dealers, corporate customers, financiers, local and national government officials, and industry associations, among other guests.
