Makadara MP George Aladwa has urged candidates seeking elective seats in the on – going general elections to accept the outcome of the election results.
Aladwa who exuded confidence of retaining the Member of Parliament seat said the country is bigger than politicians, a reason that necessitates all candidates to accept the verdict of the electorate.
Addressing the press after casting his vote at 12.11 pm at Joseph Apudo Primary School Polling Station at Makongeni estate, he said the citizenry want to see peace prevail in the country after the election exercise.
“I have participated in the election and elected candidates whom I will be working with and will help me,” he stated.
Aladwa noted that while visiting poll stations in the constituency whose voting exercise commenced at 6.00 am he observed that there was peace and calm, and security officers deployed to polling stations was adequate.
He however, noted that he also observed that some polling stations had challenges with names of voters.
