Burglars steal Digital Literacy Devices at Lukhokho Primary, Kakamega

Burglars broke into Lukhokho primary school in Matete Sub County in Kakamega County and made away with gadgets in the ICT laboratory.

The school head teacher Pius Juma said they stole three laptops, two projectors, 13 tablets, three laptop chargers and Sh765 in cash.

“I had securely locked the ICT lab on Tuesday evening and proceeded home at around 5 pm but on Wednesday I realized it had been broken into and the electronics taken,” he explained.

Matete Sub County Police Commander (SCPC) Thomas Ototo said his team has launched investigations into the incident.

Residents of Chekalini village in Lugari Sub County mill around a cattle dip to get a glimpse of a body of a man suspected to have been killed elsewhere and dumped there.

He has appealed to the members of the public to be on the lookout and if they come across any electronic with GOK logo to report to the station.

Meanwhile, a body of a middle aged man was on Wednesday found in a cattle dip in Chekalini area in Lugari Sub County.

The body was discovered by a young man who was grazing animals near the cattle dip.

Koromaiti Sub Location Assistant Chief Wilkister Muyoka said the body had visible injuries indicating the man may have been killed by unknown assailants before the body was dumped in the cattle dip at night.

The administrator has appealed to anyone whose male family member is missing to come out and help in identifying the body.

Police officers from Lumakanda police station are investigating the incident and they ferried the body to Webuye Sub County hospital mortuary.
