Bungoma County Government has launched a five-year strategic plan for Kimilili Hospital in Kimilili sub- County.
Speaking during the launch of the document, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka said that the programme will give quality health services to the people for the next five years.
“I today launched a five-year strategic plan for Kimilili sub county hospital, a document that will guide the hospital to achieve major infrastructural development, quality service delivery, human resource and attainment of referral status,” said Lusaka.
The county boss has also stated that his administration will invest more on primary health services so that people can have access to affordable and available health services.
“I emphasized on the need to focus on primary health because my administration intends to upgrade and equip sub county hospitals and dispensaries to make health services accessible to every resident of Bungoma,” said the county boss.
The governor has called on stakeholders in the health sector in the county to work hand in hand with the county government for the benefit of the people of Bungoma.
The governor CECM for health and the Director of Medical Services to work around the clock to help him realize his campaign pledges on health within 5 years.
