Residents of Olpopongi estate in Narok town are living in fear after a body of a 50-year-old man was this morning found lying in his house with his private parts chopped off.
The area Chief Daniel Sankale said the residents called his office informing him of foul smell emanating from a rental house that had remained locked for two days.
“We came in the company of the police who upon opening the door that was locked from inside were shocked to find the body of the man lying on the floor with his manhood chopped off,” said the chief.
The chief said the man could have died two days ago when he went missing but the cause of his death was still a mystery since his door was locked from inside.
Narok North Sub County Police Commandant Frederick Kibenei confirmed the incident saying the police have launched investigation into the death.
“We will get more details about his death after investigations, his body has been taken to Narok Referral Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted to inform more on what led to his death,” said Kibenei.
The police boss has however called on the members of the public who know the deceased’s relatives to come forth and help in identifying the man who has been living alone in a rented house.
“This man according to those who know him was doing menial jobs in the town but no one knows any of his relatives that is why we are appealing for them to come and identify their kin,” he said.
This comes only a few weeks after a body of a 25-year-old man was found hanging from the roof in his rental house at London Estate in Narok North Sub County.
