Police in Bondo sub-county have launched investigations into the mysterious death of a 26 year old gold miner whose body was found at Wagusu beach on Wednesday.
The body of the man who has been identified as Jared Masogo was found along the shores of Lake Victoria after he is suspected to have been murdered by unknown people.
According to the Assistant Chief of West Migwena sub-location, William Oreme, the gold digger is said to have been spotted along the lake shores on the previous evening only to be found dead following morning, with wounds all over his body.
He told KNA that the killers may have wanted to rob him of proceeds he got after he sold gold extracts recently.
Oreme who confirmed the incident, stated that the body has since been removed to Bondo sub-county hospital mortuary as investigations begun into the matter.
