The family of a former Treasury staff, Tom Osinde has transferred his body to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) mortuary after positively identifying him in the neighbouring Migori County.
The body which was found dumped at River Kuja and taken to the mortuary at Migori Referral Hospital, was moved to Kisii awaiting post-mortem.
Speaking to KNA, Kisii County Police Commander, and Charles Kases said further investigations were currently underway in Migori where Osinde’s body was found.
Osinde went missing on June 18, 2023 while traveling from his Nakuru home to his rural home in Borabu Constituency, Nyamira County.
Four days later, his black Land Cruiser LC300 car was positively identified at Kilgoris police station by his son after the police found it abandoned along the Sikawa-Enoosaen road in Trans Mara West Sub County.
On Wednesday, Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrested two workers at the home of the deceased in Nakuru County to further aid in investigations.
The two suspects who are being investigated for the offense of abduction were arraigned in court on Wednesday evening where police requested for 21 days to enable them complete investigations.
Osinde is a brother to the late Ambassador Ken Osinde who served as Kenya’s Ambassador to Germany, from 2010-2014 before serving as chief of staff at Harambee House Annex.
