The body of a man who went missing when a passenger boat he was in capsized on Friday in Jomvu Sub County of Mombasa has been found.
The incident happened at Ganaola crossing channel that connects Mikindani Trading Centre in Mombasa to Rabai sub county of Kilifi.
Nine other people, five men, three women and a three-year old boy survived the boat tragedy.
The body of Samuel Tsui was retrieved by fishermen when a wave swept him to the shoreline Sunday morning.
The ill-fated boat was carrying ten people when it capsized at sea due to bad weather, but nine people managed to swim to safety during the 10pm Friday accident.
The Jomvu Sub County Police Commander, Johnson Polloh said the body was found by fishermen at about 7am.
Polloh said the body was released to relatives for burial in accordance with Islam rites, since he was a convert.
A brother of the deceased, Jaffer Kalama thanked the multi-agency search teams that were working to find the missing person.
