Bandari F.C on Thursday beat Posta Rangers 1-0 in a Premier League match played at Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa to maintain its unbeaten record.
The win saw Bandari go on top of the 18-team league dislodging Mathare United after collecting 18 points from eight matches. Mathare is now occupying the second position with 17 points but has a match in hand.
After a goalless draw in the first half, Abdalla Hassan made sure the Dockers collect the important three points when he scored from a long range in the 55thminute.
Bandari had the opportunities to add more goals but Hassan and Wycliffe Onchomo wasted clear chances in the second half.
Mathare can go back to the summit if they win their match against Kakamega Homeboys on Saturday in Nairobi.
