The government will not relent on taking action against people found loitering past curfew time in Isiolo town and its outskirts.
Isiolo Deputy County Commissioner Andrew Mutua warned that the police will arrest those flouting the government’s directives over curfew in various trading centres.
Mr Mutua said that the security officers will mount patrols to ensure local residents adhere to the government’s curfew time of 10.00 pm to 4.00 am alongside other Covid 19 containment measures to curb the escalating cases across the country.
“Most of local people are not serious with the measures the government has put in place to fight the viral disease despite burying their loved ones and hospitalization of others owing to the killer coronavirus,” the administrator added.
The DCC further said that police, chiefs and County government ‘askaris’ have been arresting residents who were found in public places without wearing facemasks and taken to court where scores were charged.
He said that the Public Health Department, chiefs and police officers would continue visiting all eateries and markets to ensure that the Health protocols were observed at all times.
Mr Mutua added that public places like hotels, pubs, Churches, Mosques and markets must provide clean running water, soap and sanitizers to their clients to stop the spread. Likewise, all public and private sector offices provide the same at their door steps and refuse to render services to clients who do not wear facemasks.
