Villagers at Ririat in Cheborgei Location in Bureti sub county, Kericho County are reeling in shock after a 16 year old form one student Monday stabbed her mother’s lover to death .
The boy allegedly used a kitchen knife to kill Michael Rono, 65, after he found him in bed with his 35-year-old mother.
A neighbour Mrs. Mercy Mutai told the press that she heard screams at 9.40pm and rushed to the scene where she found the bleeding man putting on a T. shirt.
“It was at that juncture that he fell down. He had a stab wound on his chest,” Mercy added.
Area chief Anderson Rotich said the assailant surrendered to police Tuesday morning and was locked up as investigations commenced.
He said the suspect had previously warned the man never to step in their home after he suspected him of having an affair with his mother.
The body was removed to Kapkatet sub County hospital pending post mortem.
