Police in Rachuonyo North Sub County are still pursuing the suspects who allegedly kidnapped a seven year old boy in Kendu Bay Township on of August 16 this year.
The boy, Raphael Ochieng, went missing on the fateful day after he was kidnapped by people unknown to him but was dropped on Monday at Kendu Bay Township along Homa Bay Katitu Highway.
Confirming the incident to KNA, the Homa Bay County Police Commander (CPC), Esther Seroney said that the boy was allegedly put in a vehicle plying Homa Bay-Katitu route by people who were unknown to him at Homa Bay Township.
Seroney said that the boy looked shaken but was in good health when he was re-united with his parents, adding that the boy revealed that his kidnappers neither harassed nor inflicted any injuries on him.
The officer said that the suspects were still at large and called on the members of the public with any relevant information on the same to release it in confidence to security officers.
She regretted that there were many cases of children being kidnapped in the area and called for concerted efforts from all stakeholders and the community in fighting the vice.
