Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Samson Ojwang has asked residents to take advantage of the Easter holidays to register for huduma namba.
He asked residents to find time and register for huduma namba which he said was going to help improve security besides improving services to Kenyans.
“Through huduma namba, cases of fraud will be a thing of the past as people will easily be identified through the single namba of huduma,” he said.
National Integrated identifier management system (NIIMS) commonly referred to as huduma namba is a government programme that will consolidate all registrations in a single one.
He asked residents to visit the nearest centres in their sub-locations to get registered adding that registration officers are on duty.
Trans Nzoia is projecting to register 1.2 people under huduma and has so far registered over 177,000 residents.
The requirements for registration include an ID card, birth certificate and passports or alien card for non-Kenyans.
Speaking to the press in Kitale Saturday, the county commissioner said that acts of insecurity had been contained with increased patrols.
He asked residents to volunteer information that will help police and other security agents improve security of residents. Day and night patrols have been enhanced in Trans Nzoia County to allow residents continue enjoying Easter peacefully.
