Sofapaka dispatched FC Talanta 1-0 to secure their first win of the season, ending a run of four draws and two losses since the start of the 2022/23 FKF Premier League campaign.
Ambrose Sifuna sent the ball to the back of FC Talanta’s net in the 25th minute to give Sofapaka also referred to as Batoto Ba Mungu the win.
Later on, Kenya Police hit Wazito 4-0 to secure their first win of the season.
Marvin Omondi and Duke Abuya struck in the first half while Elvis Rupia and Lesley Otieno scored in the second half.
At the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, Kariobangi Sharks held Kakamega Homeboyz to a 1-1 draw.
Michael Karomor grabbed the lead for Kakamega Homeboyz in the 69th minute but Sharks’ Kevin Musamali scored a late equalizer for the visitors by converting an 86th minute penalty.
