Mutula said the county will adopt emerging technology and tools in data collection, storage, processing and visualization data to help in policy formulation and informed decision making for the benefit of residents.

“We are committed to automate county government functions, including statistical functions to provide accurate information and reliable information for decision making process,” said Mutula on Thursday while launching Makueni County Statistical Abstract (CSA), 2022 and ward statistical profile at PWD centre, Wote.

Consequently, Mutula said the county will leverage a participatory framework to develop citizen generated data synergy and open tracking system of the development projects.

“Through the sub and ward administrative units, my administration will continue to raise awareness on the role of statistics on policy formulation and give timely information of statistics in abridge version of Kiswahili and Kamba and decision making,” noted Mutula.

The fourth cycle of the CSA document was developed in collaboration with Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).

“I appreciate the collaboration and harmonious working relations with KNBS in strengthening the county statistics functions,” he added.
