Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi has launched a 24-hour toll free call centre o mark Customer Service week in a move aimed at enhancing service delivery in Kiambu County.
The governor unveiled two customer reporting hotlines that the county residents would call or send text messages to air complaints or conserves on matters of service delivery.
“Today, we launch two toll-free numbers which are Safaricom 0742000888 and Airtel 0103000888 to best serve our citizens as the county government of Kiambu and as a way of celebrating a happy Customer Service Week,” Wamatangi said.
According to the governor this move would enable Kiambu citizens to report any need to the administration at any time of day.
“The purpose for this move is to enable any citizen of Kiambu or any one visiting the county to communicate any incidents or issues that concern the county government or even give a compliment on the same hence this will help us best serve the people of Kiambu,” added Wamatangi.
On her part, Kiambu Deputy Governor Rosemary Njeri Kirika who was also present at the launch held at the Kiambu County headquarter offices said that the county administration is committed to ensuring the electorate get the services they deserve.
She urged the residents not to shy away from reporting any crime perpetuated by the officials of the county, maintaining this would help improve service delivery.
She further explained that the call centre would be equipped with a tracking system designed to ensure all calls are attended to appropriately.
“During our inauguration, we promised a government that is accessible to its people, we hereby believe that there can never be democracy without communication we therefore call upon all the people of Kiambu to make good use of this service,” she said.
The County bosses said the service will be instrumental for their office in communicating with, and enriching service delivery for Kiambu residents.
