Nyamira County has maintained leaders of all the three County elective posts in the just concluded general elections.
Incumbent Governor, Senator and County Women Member of the National Assembly maintained their elective seats for they garnered the highest number of votes in the county as they were announced by Nyamira County IEBC manager, Anthony Njoroge.
Amos Nyaribo of the UPA party led the county Governor’s seat by getting 81,980 votes, followed by Walter Nyambati who got 49,339 votes while Timothy Bosire came third with 35,671 votes.
Jerusha Momanyi of Jubilee party led in the Member of the National Assembly seat scoring 84, 833 followed by Emily Nyagarama of the ODM party who garnered 72,434 votes whereby Josephine Omanwa garnered 18,059 votes.
Okong’o Omogeni of the ODM party won the senatorial seat by scoring 96,432 votes and was followed by Nyambega Mose of UDA party with 43,866 and Adams Mochenwa (DPK) came third by scoring 22,235 votes.
Mr. Anthony Njoroge revealed that out of 323,283 registered voters an average of 64 per cent of voters came out to vote for the county seats.
