Governor Kiptis concedes defeat

Baringo County sitting Governor Stanley Kiptis has conceded defeat to Benjamin Cheboi of UDA.

Kiptis who has sensed defeat as the former governor Benjamin Cheboi of UDA is leading in the county tallying votes.

“Thank you Baringo for the rare chance you gave me to serve as your Governor for the period between 2017- 2022. You the supreme people have spoken, so loud in fact and as a team we oblige,” said Kiptis.

He took time to congratulate Cheboi and promised to work with him to better the lives of Baringo residents.

Kiptis who lost during the UDA nominations was running on an Independent ticket with his running mate Richard Koech who also lost during nominations.

Earlier today, Moses Lessonet running on an Independent ticket and who came second place conceded defeat during a presser and congratulated first governor Benjamin Cheboi.
