Hundreds of presiding officers, security personnel and agents have started ferrying back elections materials to Kisauni and Nyali constituencies tallying centres.
This follows conclusion of counting and tallying of votes cast in favour of candidates dangling different elective positions.
Kisauni constituency tallying centre is domiciled within Shanzu Teachers Training College while National Industrial Training Authority, Mombasa host Nyali constituency tallying centre.
The Kisauni constituency Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission returning officer Mr Ibrahim Wario confirmed receipt of ballot equipment.
“We have started receiving ballot materials from our presiding officers,” added Wario.
Similarly, electoral materials have also started arriving at Nyali constituency tallying centre with returning officer John Ole Taiswa stating that they will start tallying exercise.
Ole Taiswa stated that the process will be executed meticulously in the presence of media, agents, aspirants and observers to logical conclusion.
“We will be here until we conclude everything that has made us converge in this place. Everything will be done accordingly,” he added.
Kisauni has 135,276 registered voters in 217 polling stations including three prisons, while Nyali has 124,253 registered voters and 195 polling stations.
