IEBC Makueni distributes elections materials to polling stations

The Independent, Electoral, and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) officials in Makueni Constituency has embarked on the transportation of Electoral materials to 240 Polling Stations in the area.

Makueni Constituency Returning Officer, Florence Kwamboka Mogaka, said the materials are being transported to polling stations by Presiding and Deputy Presiding Officers, accompanied by the Security personnel in readiness for tomorrow’s General Elections.

“We are expecting our Presiding and Deputy Presiding Officers to collect these materials at 1pm, they will be accompanied by two security officers per polling station for security,” said Mogaka while addressing the media at Makueni Boys High School Tallying Center on Monday.

She added that Makueni Constituency has 120,712 registered voters, with 105 registered voters’ inmates at the Makueni Main Prison among them.

“I appeal to all registered voters in Makueni to come in their large numbers to vote tomorrow from 6 am in the morning,” she added.

Makueni Constituency leads with the 102,712 of registered voters in the County, distributed in Seven County Assembly Wards, followed by Mbooni (96,029), Kibwezi West (91,554), and Kaiti (65,188).

Kibwezi East and Kilome constituencies have 64,740 and 59,188 registered voters respectively.

There are a total of 479,401 registered voters in the county.
