21-year old Envelata Anyango Barasa who hails from Bumula Constuency, Bungoma County is sick and needs financial help to enable her seek treatment.
Miss Barasa who sat her KCSE exams in 2021 has a swollen right breast.
She says the swelling began in 2020 when she was still in form 3.
She was taken to the nearby Khasoko Health center where she was given medication and the condition subsided for some time before resurfacing again in early March this year.
She sought medical attention at Kalimoni Mission Hospital where a doctor prescribed some injections and gave her a couple of drugs that did not help better her condition.
She sought help from Bumula education office headed by Mr Fred Waswa who took her to Bungoma County Referral Hospital where she was admitted for a day.
Several tests were run on her and she was asked to pay sh 20,000 for a CT scan.
“I would like to ask the government and well-wishers to come to my aid, I want to be like other girls,” Envelata said
In an interview with KNA, her parents, Francisca Barasa and Barasa Fred Bukuku, said that their first-born daughter has been suffering for a long time.
They are appealing to well-wishers to support the family financially to enable them seek further specialised treatment for their daughter’s mysterious condition.
Fred Waswa, the Bumula Education officer said he has enrolled the poor family on NHIF which will only become active after three months.
