Foreign Affairs CS Amb. Raychelle Omamo has sent a message of condolence to the family, relatives and friends of the late Ambassador Paddy Ahenda following his demise.
Ahenda passed on Sunday at a hospital in Qatar, where he was admitted at the intensive care unit for the last five days undergoing treatment.
In a message sent on her own behalf and that of the Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Amb. Macharia Kamau and the entire Foreign Affairs fraternity, Amb. Omamo expressed their deepest sympathies and condolences saying they were saddened by his demise.
The CS described the late Ahenda as a distinguished diplomat who served Kenya with utmost dedication. “We pray to God to rest his soul in eternal peace,” she said.
The deceased, who previously served as a Member of Parliament for Kasipul Kabondo was appointed Ambassador to Qatar by President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2018.
