Mayenje Santos FC qualified for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Division One League after beating Dela Sharks from Trans Nzoia 2-1 in the finals of the mini-league played at Mumbokha Stadium.
Santos coach who was a former Harambee Stars Under-20 tactician Vince Ombiji lead his team to victory in the third minute after Yassin Sije scored and held the lead until half time break.
A clinical finish from Stephen Bwire made it 2-0 in the 50th minute before Denis Shigami pulled one back for Dela in the 72nd minute.

Mayenje remains optimistic for another fairy-tale run-in Division One League to qualify for the National Super League (NSL) and eventually for the Kenya Premier League.
The club Secretary Thomas Ouma said the team is determined to produce another remarkable performance, noting that they have a budget of Sh5.8 million to enable them participate without interruption.
“We are putting everything before God that what we require will be realized,” he said, adding that the team is determined to bring glory to the county.
FKF Chairman Busia Branch Hillary Musindi who watched the final encounter applauded the team for their splendid performance, exuding confidence that the county has what it takes to excel in Regional, Division Two and Division One Leagues.
