Narok County Commissioner Mr. Evans Achoki, has asked members of the public to take advantage of services offered at the Huduma Centre, to get the various services offered by the Government.
Achoki, who spoke at the Narok centre during the launch of Customer Service Week, reminded the residents that it was their right to get excellent services in all the government offices, without discrimination.
He said among the services offered are the registration of new voters, where two kits are placed at the Centre from October 4th to November 2nd.
“The Huduma Centre voter registration point has more advantages as a person can register to vote in any constituency in the country unlike other registration centers,” he said, adding that voting was the right of every Kenyan.
The County Commissioner launched the vaccination of Covid-19 at the Huduma Centre that is currently offering the Moderna vaccine.
The new vaccination centre is expected to ease the congestion at the Narok County Referral Hospital, which was the only facility administering the Covid-19 jab.
Other key services offered at the Huduma Centre are a replacement of university and college courses, where young people can review the courses they intend to pursue at the university.
“During this Customer Service Week, we want every customer who will walk inside here to be adequately served and satisfied. We will serve people on the basis of first come, first served,” he said.
The Narok Election Manager, Anastasia Mutua, said the County was targeting to register about 79, 000 new voters in the just launched Enhanced Continuous Voter Registration (ECVR) exercise.
She reminded the residents that there were three Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) kits in every Ward, asking those who have not registered to ensure they are registered before the exercise closes on November 2nd.
“We want this announced in churches, schools, public rallies, media and all gatherings so that we can have everybody above the age of 18 years registering,” she reiterated.
Narok County has 341, 730 voters as per the 2017 data and 750 polling stations.
