A 17 year-old boy has been charged before a Lodwar court for allegedly raping his sister-in-law.
Before Lodwar Senior Resident Magistrate, Mwangi K. Mwangi, Eregae Ekuwom is alleged to have committed the crime on December 19, 2018 at Kaengilae village in Loima Sub-County.
The complainant said Ekuwom was carrying her on a motorcycle at 9 pm, taking her to her home when he stopped the motorcycle along the way, wrestled her to the ground and raped her repeatedly until 5am.
“We wrestled but he was stronger than me and he raped me repeatedly up to 5am,” the complainant told the court.
She also said the accusation was not a set-up, adding that there was no grudge between her and the accused person.
The magistrate ordered the accused to undergo a test that revealed that he was below 18 years.
He was released on a cash bond of Sh. 100,000, and hearing date for the case has been set for February 2, 2019.
