Kajiado Residents Urged to demand proper implementation of projects

Residents of Dalalekutuk, Kajiado Central have been urged to ensure that government projects in their area are being implemented according to the recommended standard.

While speaking after inspecting a road that has been constructed by Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KERRA) in partnership with the County government, the area Member of Parliament Memusi Kanchori urged residents to inspect the government projects as they are the government’s eyes on the ground.

“Being a tax payer, you have a right to know how your taxes are being spent. You are our eyes on the ground. The Money being used to conduct various government projects comes from you and so you have every right to ask how the work is being carried out “said Memusi

He urged the residents that should they notice any shoddy work being done by the contractors, they should notify the village elder, chiefs, area Member of County Assembly and Member of Parliament so that action can be taken earlier before the work is complete.

Memusi also urged the county and national governments to work together so as to ensure that the citizen get the quality services they deserve.

The Kajiado-Enkorika road is a 9km stretch that has been funded by KERRA and the Kajiado Central Constituency Development fund.
