Statehouse Comptroller Kiptanui Laid to rest

Former State House Comptroller, Abraham Kipsang Kiptanui was finally laid to rest at his Kipkabus home last Saturday at a ceremony attended by leaders who paid glowing tribute to the late President Moi’s aide.

Leaders across the political divide led by president Uhuru Kenyatta mourned the departed statesman with majority eulogized him with resounding testimonies of his contribution to development and education in his area

H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta led the nation in Mourning him through a speech read by Principal secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Esther Koimett CBS.

President Uhuru Kenyatta eulogised Kiptanui as one who believed in hard work and diligence, a reason he rose through the ranks in a sensitive docket.

“Kiptanui was diligent and dedicated. He was an example to many and never got tired sharing what he had,” President Uhuru said in a statement.

H.E the Deputy President through a statement read by Governor Jackson Mandago eulogised Kiptanui as a focused leader whose generosity will be remembered.

On his part Senator Gideon Moi described him as a man who lived a dignified life and will be fondly missed. He noted he was celebrating a well lived life by Abraham Kiptanui.

Area Governor Hon Jackson Mandago noted his contribution to the area education was unmatched and will be remembered as a man who changed lives through education.

“There are so many people who we can proudly say were educated not only in our country but even abroad courtesy of Abraham Kiptanui.” He noted

Senator Margaret Kamar eulogized him as a man of faith whose philanthropy is a testimony of the kind of a person he was.

Principal secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications Esther Koimett CBS, eulogized him as a dedicated leader who served his country with utmost diligence and expertise.

Former Cabinet Minister Dr Sally Kosgei praised him as a man who mentored young leaders through advice and necessary assistance that spurred growth during that economic tough times.

Micah Cheserem Former Central Bank governor and current Capital Market Authority chairman, honoured Abraham that they were on their feet to rescue the country’s economy that was at 101% inflation rise and through God’s Help and teamwork God saw us achieve 11% inflation fall from above 100%.

Mary Kiptanui, wife of the late Kiptanui noted she never called him by his name for the respect she had for him.

“Go well my husband I believe you are dancing with the angels, until we meet again, I will try to fit your shoes and further your work through our family.” She tributed

Abraham Kiptanui was laid at his home as a man who lived so well and his legacy will still be fondly remembered.
