Speaking to residents during the launch at Sang’alo junction, the governor said that so far he was satisfied with the ongoing construction set to ease congestion on the ever busy road.
He said the four lane road is set to replace the over fifty year old road that he noted could not serve the increased Bungoma population. The road, he added will have three roundabouts; at Musikoma, Kiwanja Ndege and Keringet.
“Once complete, the carriageway is expected to solve drainage issues that have made the town inaccessible during rains hence provide easy and faster access to markets and other social services,” Wangamati stated.
He also used the opportunity to distribute free reflectors to bodaboda operators who came in large numbers to grace the event.
